Rain, Drain and Financial Pain!

 3 years ago, I was told that I was responsible for this by the property management company.  OK says I, I can deal with this, but the question is am I really at fault?  I took the steps to repair this because I have the skills to do so, even though I was sick, and on the edge of my life at the time.

Now for the fun part.  I spoke to the then HOA president, and Property management Co, only to be told that I the owner will have to deal with this even though the cause that is really contributing to the issue is much more egregious. (see video)

Now tell me, smart homeowners are these issues my responsibility, or is this something that needs to be addressed by a less competent person than myself who is on the board?

You will notice in the next images why the overflow took place.  Worse yet, now the gutter is attempting to detach from the roof due to the water weight, and debris that has clogged the gutter and the downspout.  I raised the issue with the HOA president who blew me off and scoffed at the idea of the impact.  Really, so Mr.President you think this is not an issue.  Take careful notice, the gutter is detaching from the eave of the roof.

You may say so what!  well imagine if this gutter detaches from the roof, and you or a friend or family member is standing underneath it.  You will surely have an amazing epiphany. knowing that these nails that are popped out are due to the weight pulling the gutter from the eaves.

Now you wonder why this was finally dealt with a year later. So dear reader, why did this get fixed indeed?  Well let me regale you of another issue regarding the gutter, and the issues it was causing.  

This is the gutter pouring out water over the President and Vice Presidents Units a year later.  Well, miraculously the roof suddenly became a priority and was addressed with a so-called $15,000.00 in repairs that were charged to all of us.  In my disgust, I also put myself in harm's way to clean the gutters, and get things draining properly.  Sadly though, we all felt the drain of thousands of dollars over a very preventable issue.  But I say, is our leadership doing their utmost to look out for us?  What I pulled from the gutter in April 2021.

I took time to get on the roof, and once more an old issue is new again.  This was clogging the downspout and gutter.  Seems easy enough to deal with, so why is the President, Vice President, and Director ignoring these items and keeping up a wall of silence!
